Film Scenes Introduction |
Greatest Crowd Film Scenes: Films are often distinguished
for various qualities - classic chase scenes, disasters, other visual F/X, and other unique or memorable elements. For many years, crowd scenes were complicated, requiring tremendous resources and cost, and hundreds of extras that needed to be costumed, managed and choreographed. For example, in DeMille's remake of The Ten Commandments (1956), 14,000 extras and 15,000 animals were used. Nowadays in the digital era, crowds or large groups of people (troops, robots, etc.) are composed of CGI digital images, easier to manipulate and infinitely cheaper.
Note: The films that are marked with a yellow star are the films that "The Greatest Films" site has selected as the 100 Greatest Films. |
